The hurricane has hit! With wind up to 150 miles per hour this category 4 hurricane was a bad one. People, trees and even chunks of houses were swirling around like leaves in an autumn breeze. The water had flooded the island and was creeping in to what was left of the buildings. Cries of children searching for the parents they would never find rang through the storm. Wood, tree branches, and, random household items wee swept to sea along with the dead bodies of Galveston citizens. At the end, no one could say they didn't lose a family member or close friend to the storm.
